How to correctly measure your dog's neck and head circumference 🐶📏
Accurate measuring is crucial for a perfect fit. The best way to measure is directly on your dog; instructions on how to do this are provided below. If you plan to use an existing collar for measuring instead of measuring directly on your dog, be sure to measure the inside circumference of the collar while it is closed.
🔹 Measure neck circumference
Place a flexible measuring tape snugly around your dog's neck – without any extra padding. Make sure your dog is standing or sitting . Measuring while lying down can lead to inaccurate readings.
🔹 Measure head circumference (necessary for martingale collars)
Determine the widest point of the head, usually above the ears. The measuring tape should fit snugly , without any looseness. Your dog should be standing or sitting while you do this.
